Terms of Use

The rules for using this website, how an estimate differs from a contract, and the law that applies.

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Agreement to these terms

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Los Angeles Home Remodelers (“we,” “us,” “our”) runs the site in California. These terms cover the site only. Any remodeling work we do for you is governed by a separate written contract.

Who performs the work

A contractor licensed in California performs the construction work booked through this site. The written contract you sign names the contractor, the scope and the price, and that contract governs the work, not this website.

Before you hire us or anyone else, check the contractor’s license on the Contractors State License Board website. You can also ask for insurance certificates and confirm the permit will be pulled in the contractor’s name.

Site content isn’t professional advice

Our service pages, guides and city pages share general information about remodeling in Los Angeles. They aren’t engineering, architectural, legal or tax advice for your property.

Building codes, permit rules, zoning and HOA rules change, and they vary by address. Confirm the rules for your property with the building department that covers it, or with a licensed professional who has seen the site.

Photos on the site show examples of work. Your materials, layout and site conditions may differ.

Estimates and contracts

A request through the site doesn’t create a contract, and it doesn’t commit you or us to any work.

Your written, itemized estimate is based on what we can see and measure during the visit. Conditions hidden behind walls, floors or ceilings, such as damaged framing, old wiring or leaks, can change the scope once work begins.

Work starts only after we both sign a written contract. California law gives you protections on many home improvement contracts, including:

  • a written contract that spells out the work and the payment schedule
  • a legal limit on the down payment a contractor can ask for
  • a right to cancel certain contracts within a few days of signing

If these terms and your signed contract disagree, the contract controls.

Calls, texts and emails

When you ask for an estimate, we may contact you by phone, text or email about that request. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and how to opt out of texts.

Photos and files you upload

When you upload photos, plans or documents, you confirm you have the right to share them. You allow us to use them to prepare your estimate and plan your project.

We don’t publish photos you send us on the site or social media without your written permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • submit false information or someone else’s contact details
  • use the site for any unlawful purpose
  • try to break into, overload or disrupt the site or its forms
  • copy site content for commercial use without our written permission
  • use bots or scrapers to collect content or contact details

We may block anyone who breaks these rules.

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages that come from using the site or relying on its content.

This limit doesn’t apply to our duties under a signed construction contract, or to any liability California law doesn’t allow us to limit.

California law

California law governs these terms. Any dispute about the site goes to the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, unless your signed contract says otherwise.
