What you get
Your estimate prices the job line by line, so you can see what you’re paying for and compare bids fairly.
Each estimate covers:
If a line is unclear, ask. We’ll explain it or rewrite it.
Why line items matter
Two bids with the same total can cover very different work. Line items show you which one includes the permit and the haul-away.
How it works
Four steps take you from the form to a written estimate you can act on.
STEP 01
Tell us where the project is and what you want to build. Photos are optional but useful.
STEP 02
A project manager calls to learn more and sets a visit for any day from Monday through Saturday.
STEP 03
We measure the rooms and check the structure and utilities. We also note what your permit office will ask for.
STEP 04
You get a written, itemized estimate, and we walk you through it line by line. Then you decide, with no obligation.
Homes and businesses
The visit changes with the property. The written, itemized estimate doesn’t.
We come to your house, walk the rooms you want to change, and talk through how you use them.
We walk your office or restaurant with you and plan the work around how your business runs.
Before the visit
You don’t need any of these to book. Each one takes a guess out of your estimate.
Wide shots of each wall, plus close-ups of problem spots like water stains or cracks.
Rough room length and width are enough. We take exact measurements at the visit.
Old drawings, surveys or permit records show what was built and when.
Your HOA guidelines or your lease tell us what needs approval before work starts.
What we estimate
Pick the closest project type on the form. If yours covers more than one, tell us the rest in the details box.

Your protections
State law protects you when you sign a home improvement contract. The Contractors State License Board explains the rules in plain language, and our contracts follow them.
Most home improvement jobs need a written contract that describes the work and how you’ll pay for it.
California law caps how much a contractor can ask for up front on a home improvement contract. Our payment schedules follow that limit.
Progress payments can’t run ahead of the work that’s been done. Ours are tied to finished stages of the job.
You can cancel certain home improvement contracts within a few business days of signing. The contract has to explain how.
This is general information, not legal advice. Check the state board’s website for the full rules.
Estimate FAQ
What people ask before they book a visit.
Yes. The visit and the written estimate cost nothing, and you’re under no obligation to hire us.
Yes. Business owners get a free walkthrough of the space. Have your lease or the landlord’s rules handy, since they decide what you can change.
A single room takes a short visit. Larger projects like additions take longer, because we check more of the building.
The estimate is our price for the scope it lists, and the contract locks that scope in. If you add work or we find hidden damage, we write a change order and you approve it before the work goes ahead.
No. Most estimates start from a conversation and a visit. If the project needs drawings or engineering, we include that in the scope.
We’d rather not guess. A written estimate needs a visit, because measurements and site conditions change the price.
Yes. We pull permits in our name and close them after the final inspection. The permit plan is part of your estimate.
